Shipping & Delivery
Do you offer FREE shipping?
- We offer FREE shipping on all DOMESTIC sewing machine and motor purchases.
- Industrial sewing machine purchases will incur a shipping charge.
When will my order arrive?
Delivery of most product orders is approximately 5-8 business days.
NEEDS TO BE REWORKED -- Upon receiving your order, we pull machine parts from the shelves and move them from our warehouse to our internal mechanic shop. From there, our sewing technicians will assemble the table, legs, and machine. It will be tested by sewing stitches into some scrap fabric. If it any adjustments are needed, they will be made at this point. Meanwhile, the front office is making arrangements for your delivery truck. Your fully-assembled machine moves back to the warehouse where it will be secured to a shipping pallet, wrapped in plastic, and weighed out for the trucking company. By the time the truck arrives, it has been 2 or 3 business days since your order was placed, and your new machine is finally on its' way to you. When it gets to you from this point is based on distance, truck delivery schedules and other external factors. The short answer about when you'll get your machine is about 5-8 business days. If you need to know an exact delivery time, just contact us.
What should I do if my Industrial sewing machine purchase was scratched during delivery?
Always inspect the sewing machine BEFORE signing for it. There could be small scuffs or scratches to the table legs or tabletop during shipping. This is normal for industrial shipping. However, on rare occasions, a machine may sustain more significant damage during transit.
Should I inspect the machine at delivery?
Yes, always inspect your sewing machine BEFORE signing for it. The Bill of Lading is a legal document stating that the shipment was received in good condition. If you sign for a non-working machine, we will not be able to dispute it with the trucking company. Small scratches are normal for industrial transit. If you find significant damage to the sewing machine you should reject the delivery. Then contact us and we will help you get a new machine.
What should I do if failed to inspect my sewing machine and it arrived damaged?
If you failed to inspect your sewing machine delivery before accepting it, and there is significant damage, we would advise that you take photos and document the damage. We will need to work together with you to determine a good approach to resolving the issue with the delivery company.

Service
How often should my sewing machine be serviced?
We recommend every 12 months, and here's why:
- If you do a lot of sewing - Lint, thread and broken needles can collect in the needle bar, hook and feed mechanisms, causing problems ranging from noise to more serious problems that can stop the machine from functioning. Heavy use can also remove oil on moving parts that the machine needs to operate smoothly. Lint and thread build up can cause serious tension problems.
- If you sew occasionally - Lint, thread and broken needles can still collect in the needle bar area and in the gears of the thread-handling mechanism. Even moderate use necessitates oiling of moving parts of the sewing machine. A small piece of thread in the tension unit will necessitate cleaning and recalibration of the tension.
- If your sewing machine has been in the closet for a few years and you want to sew again - The machine should be tuned up so that you will have peak performance of the machine and trouble free sewing. Even sitting in the closet, the oil in the machine can and will dry out which will lock up parts and potentially lead to further damage of the machine.
Thorough servicing by Renato's Sewing Machine will eliminate all of these problems and guarantee trouble-free sewing.
